snow and lots of it

Well here in Chicago we are getting nailed with quite the snow storm here (not as bad as last years 20inches), but still prettty bad. I am still at work, slow and not really doing anything. It is going to stink driving home in the dark with white out conditions. As of now, I've just been watching it all come down. It is so pretty! They are trying to plow our parking lot, but it is not helping too much. It has been snowing since 10am and it is not going to stop until tomorrow morning sometime. I think we got about 3 inches already. Probably looking at 5-7. It is coming down so thick and heavy. Driving wont be that bad I've lived here my entire life, just gotta go slow and not be a doe doe brain.  I am not looking forward to shoveling when I get home though :)

  • Oh no! I hope it doesn't get too bad for you ladies. I would have no idea how to react to that much snow. It is 65 degrees here right now...
  • Have a safe drive home, be careful-not worrying about your driving but other drivers who may be do-do brains :) Last year during snowmageddon my dad kept shoveling every hour, I was certain he was going to have a heart attack.

  • I was going to say almost the exact same thing as Lindsey.  Most of the time in bad weather it isn't the weather and my driving that I worry about... it is the other yahoos out there.

Be very careful, watch out for the dopes!  Also, just an FYI... if you were in Oregon, there would already have been a run on the supermarkets, gas stations, and probably clothing stores.  And, I would guess that with three inches of snow probably 5-8 roll-over accidents just in the metro area.  Now, who wants to come and visit me!?

lol only by snow mobile or snow shoe! hahaha I am not looking forward to driving home. But I have a full tank of gas and plenty of cd's to listen to! Atleast dinner is in the crock pot.

  • I think it's headed for us on the East Coast. NOT looking forward to that. >:{ <-- grumpy face
  • We're supposed to get that snow tonight, so we'll see how tomorrow is!!
  • It's almost 8pm here, and the temp is currently 71 degrees. I would definitely be one of those yahoos and completely freak out if I ever had to drive in snow. Stay safe ladies!

  • We are getting snow starting late tonight. I hate the snow! I am so happy I don't have to work tomorrow. Hope everyone stays in tomorrow so I don't have to go out.

This.  Tim doesn't even want to go up to the mountains because he doesn't want to deal with putting chains on tires.  Stay safe ladies!
