Part of me knows this answer to this.
The reporter on the news just asked the airport spokesperson why planes had to circle around for 45 minutes before landing.
Airport spokesperson proceeded to explain that they needed time to clean off runways, etc.
Was that question really necessary? We've had breaking news updates ALL DAY every 20 minutes in regards to the weather.
If people are too stupid to look outside/watch the constant updates and wonder why flights are delayed/canceled, they have no business knowing why. Why give them the extra information? I feel like my IQ drops as I watch this newscast. Yes, I'm turning the channel.
