favorite weekend getaways? 1-2 hour drive from Central NJ.

Ant and I need some time away.  We're thinking a weekend next month.  Thanks!

Re: favorite weekend getaways? 1-2 hour drive from Central NJ.

  • We like the Tuscany house hotel at Renault winery. It's near AC. They have a couple nice restaurants there, yiu can do a wine tasting... It's a little bit in the middle if nowhere, but takes like 30 minutes to get to AC for stuff to do. Just a nice place to spend a couple quiet nights.
  • We like The Queen Victoria in Cape May, it's an amazing place and location, lots to do or see or just relax. We also love Morgans Hotel in NYC, if you are up for the city is a classy boutique hotel.
  • We're off to Philadelphia today for an overnight stay. Great food, museums, day spas, theater etc.
  • I'd go to Philly for an overnight like Pat suggested. There's so many great museums, restaurants and such that are worth the visit. We live close (Like 15 min) and try to head out every month or so. (If we didn't have two kids, it would be SO MUCH MORE!)

Or it might be a bit longer, but Baltimore is also fun.

  • Personally, I've been wanting to go to atlantic city for oh the last 10 years.

  • Philly is our defacto, 'we need a weekend away just the two of us' place.

  • What about something in the Hudson Valley?  We lived up there for a few years, and there's quite a bit to do in that area.

  • I definitely recommend The Glasbern Inn in Fogelsville PA..It's a very romantic B&B and the restaurant is amazing...You also have many wineries in the area.

Another that is worth the stay is the Barley Sheaf Inn...Great place too...Good luck.
