Anniversary in Napa - Any recommendations?
Hi!
My husband and I are planning a trip to Napa for our anniversary!!!
Any recommendations for Inns/Resorts?
How about a photographer for lifestyle/engagement-picture-like photos? We might want to do some first anniversary pictures just for fun...
Any other r
estaurants or places we wouldn't want to miss?
Thanks
Re: Anniversary in Napa - Any recommendations?
Omg sooo many good places to eat my favs
Celadon
Ad Hoc
Mustards
I live close enough to drive up for the day, so no recs on hotel, sorry
I don't know how much you want to spend on any of these things, but I've heard great things about Carneros Inn. Sniqueaway.com also has a good deal for the next couple of days on rooms at the Vintage Inn in Yountville.
I've heard great things about Ubuntu in Napa, if you're into adventurous/vegetarian dining.
Not sure what to tell you about photographers. I can only recommend my wedding photog -- Danielle Gillett.
The Inn on First. Hands down the best B&B I have ever been to in my life. LOVE this place. I got the referral from this board and will never stay anywhere else up there! Super romantic rooms.....super romantic. We stayed in one of the suites with the largest shower you have ever seen and the HUGE tub....its fabulous.
If you crave a burger (which we found we did after drinking too much wine, we wanted something fatty and filled with protein) try Norman Rose Tavern in downtown Napa. Delicious.
If you dig BBQ w/ wine pairings I would highly highly recommend Bounty Hunter also in downtown Napa.
A great place for lunch is Rutherford Grill. Delicious and good service. It is also in the middle of a TON of wineries....just down the street from Mumm...which I also highly recommend. One of my very closest friends works there and perhaps it was so memorable for us because we got to hang out with the staff and try the library bubbly and sit in those amazing chairs overlooking the fields...but even without being in the library I think it would be 100% worth going to. Who doesn't love a little bubbly? If you bring any home...the DVX red and blue are amazing and the Santana is fabulous...but their hands down best is their Devaux Ranch (gold label). They are a little pricey but amazing.
Also....a great place to go tasting that is super low-key and not slam packed like some of the places...where you will get to taste some really amazing wines is St. Supery. They have an amazing Malbec and their Elu (currently sitting in my wine storage) is delicious!
If you want any more lemme know and I can send along more suggestions. I am not familiar with photographers but I can give my friend a call and see if he knows of any if you want me to.

EJ is growing up too fast!
The restaurant " farm " is also at the carneros inn and is delicious as is the boone fly cafe which is also on that property and more casual.
I recommended it. Definitely an amazing place. They also include breakfast in the package and they are delicious.
I also second Celadon as a place to eat. It's probably my favorite restaurant on the West Coast.
