Checkers update part two - THANK YOU!

Thank you all for helping to educate me and for urging me to have my mom get her cat checkers checked out.

Heres the email she sent me this morning:

Blood work is back.  Everything checked out perfect.... Except his Thyroid!!

His thyroid number is 22 when it should be about 4.  Doctor said he has
never seen one this high.  He is prescribing pills I will pick up Monday.  Check
may have to take them the rest of his life :(    The good news is liver, kidney,
other blood cells and everything else that was screened in the blood test
came back just fine.  So it's not affecting his other organs, which it can.
So.... THANK YOU again for pushing me to get him seen!!

Re: Checkers update part two - THANK YOU!

  • Yes Glad to hear there's a treatable cause for his blimp-ing out! Hope his thyroid levels are under control soon!
