I remember as a small child foaming at the mouth to get out in the snow at the first flake. I would play out there for hours. I built something like an igloo one year, and it's not like it was my parents idea. They weren't even out there with me.
Not my kid. Not only does he not care it's snowing, he doesn't even want his feet to touch it. I abandoned the idea of trying to go anywhere because it's just not worth it. He doesn't want to even walk to the car in it. lol..
It's fine. I mean, I'm not looking to freeze my ass off or anything I just think it's interesting. MH hates the snow and cold too. I don't love it but I don't hate it either. I grew up in NJ, it's just something I expect to exist and deal with. So did mh but he doesn't want to play in it.
Re: Anyone else's kid hate snow?
Avery didnt want to go outside at first, then when she got her snowsuit and boots on she was exited but was totally over it after 3 minutes and screamed to go inside.
im sure when she gets older shell want to go out more, sledding etc.
mine don't hate it- but don't love it either. Griffin has only mentioned going out to play once today... we told him "maybe today, maybe tomorrow" b/c greg and I both feel like crap today... and Griffin was fine with that answer.
When it snowed in October they never once asked to go out in it - thankfully b/c we couldn't with all the trees falling down around us.
The twins don't seem to remember playing in it... they haven't really talked about it much.
We'll do our play time outside later or tomorrow... and then probably not again this winter - maybe one more time if we get another big snow. Thankfully they aren't that into it.
Greg and I were both saying last night how we would be out in it ALL DAY LONG - come home soaking wet, frozen, and loving it.
