Hello from sunny florida...a review of Legoland if anyone is interested

Hi all, sorry you are getting snow--but I am coming back to it in MA soon so I will be snowblowing alongside you all lol. A couple ppl asked me on FB to give feedback on Legoland in Winter Haven, FL since we went yesterday. I dont give detailed info but here is my take on it....

If you are coming to FL specifically for Legoland, you will be disappointed. LOL. It is in Winter Haven, which is nothing like Orlando or the like. We drove an 1.5 hr from my parents' house in the Villages and it was doable. We got there at 10 am and had an enjoyable day, not crowded, lots of people, but very doable. We brought both Max and Leo and although Leo did not go on any rides, they do have some play structures for younger toddlers, and there are a lot of rides---i liked it because the parents can go on all of the rides with the child. Matt and I took turns going on with Max while the other stayed with Leo. The park says you cannot bring food in but if you keep it in a backpack or something inconspicuous, you can totally eat a sandwich lunch etc. The food is pricy as to be expected, $9 for hamburger etc. We got paninis, which were good, three meals was $25. the pirate cove show was good---i recommend it. They have a Miniland, which is really amazing--legos made into Eiffel Tower, Empire state building etc really cool.

Parking was $12. Tickets were bought through AAA and I later found out that there is a promo code to get a child ticket for free with purchase of an adult ticket. You would have to look it up dependiong on when you went. My dad got the tix otherwise I would have aggressively googled lol. Ummm, I guess that is it. Right now in January the park hours are 10-5 and they are closed Tues/Wed. That might change during peak season but again, check.

We got there at 10 am and left around 330 pm and saw pretty much everything. We did not go on two of the bigger roller coasters (they are not HUGE, just a little scary of Max who is only 4.5---next year he'd prob be really into them).

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any specific questions---I am still on vacay but there is no way I'd remember to post this if I didnt do it from my dads computer lol.

going to the pool now, ta ta!

No thanks, I don't need child porn or Tweets from this site---thanks for the memories nesties---RIP, Franco---2004--2012.
