Feral cats...PsIP

I haz them. Or, rather, I'm feeding some. And setting up a chip in to try to raise the funds to get them TNR'd.

Some are quite friendly. And I think I'm going to have to trap one sooner rather than later because it looks like he might have some kind of respiratory thing.

Pictures: (I am sorry in advance that I've been posting here for three years and still don't know how to re-size pictures.)

The gang. There are actually 16-17 of them total, so this is really just a fraction of the gang.image

Cranky Old Man Kitty. I swear he was meowing "GET OFF MY LAWN" the whole time I was feeding them.image

This is Burrito:

Re: Feral cats...PsIP

  • What cute cats! I opened this post thinking that you were going to try to socialize them and I was going to offer a great link on that. However, it looks like these guys are all adults.

How awesome you are feeding them. I would love to do something like this, but we (fortunately?) dont have any colonies close enough to me to be able to do this daily. Good luck catching them!

  • I have a friend who has TNR'd some ferals and also taken a lot in over the years.  If you have any questions, I'm sure she'd be happy to answer them.  PM me if you'd like her info.
  • I love the cranky guy!

  • Aw, they're so handsome! That first one reminds me a lot of my new Cooper, and his nose is exactly the same as my new Spencer's!  Poor kitties :(  Good luck with the project!

He is my favorite! Today was my third day down there, and he actually let me pet him! I had to go to him, of course. If you try to call him to you, he just looks at you like, "Yeah, you keep on trying that." lol

Niffa- Thank you for the offer! I'll page you on here if I need the info. I'm getting in touch with a local TNR group here, and there's a group of people that have shown an interest and offered to help, so I think it's going okay so far. *fingers crossed*

  • OMG what beautiful cats. Good luck with the TNR :)
  • They're adorable! We had ferals both in our neighborhood growing up and by my parents store. I named all of those too and slowly but surely we caught them all and got them altered and found homes for the young ones that were able to be socialized. And by we, I mean my mom, I was a preteen at the time. I just named them ;)

I love that you named one burrito. Lol!

  • They are so cute!
