Baby gate that doesn't require drilling
My MIL watches DD while I'm at work and she's working on baby-proofing. They have stairs and want to gate off the bottom to prevent DD from trying to climb up. However, MIL says that the baby gates she has seen for stairs require drilling into the spindles (is that the right word?). Does anyone know of any gates that don't require any drilling? I'm sure this must exist and the Nesties would know best
Help me out!
Re: Baby gate that doesn't require drilling
I also have one like pp. I really like it. I got it on Amazon...it's a Regalo step through gate. It only works for certain sized openings though. You really need two hands to open the latch though, so that would be the one negative that I can see.

We bought the Evenflo Home Decor gate and then got a kit from Kidco to mount it to a Banister without drilling. The only problem is the piece of wood from the Kidco kit is lighter than the gate, but I think we may stain it. Took MH a little bit of time to install since we had some other minor customizations to make it work, but it works great!

Also, we realized we probably could have just gotten a narrow, long piece of wood and some heavy duty plastic ties form Home Depot and it would have been the same as buying the kit.
I think it depends on your type of staircase. you can't use a pressure mounted one on any staircase. Our staircase would require you to drill - we never had a gate up..........we just gated our kids into our kitchen/playroom.
Also, the pressure mounted ones DO leave marks. We have a LOT of patchwork to do on our walls - UGH!
