anyone use the slow cooker liners?

Wondering if its something that's actually helpfull, or just more of a pain to deal with?

Re: anyone use the slow cooker liners?

  • I'm not exaggerating when I say that I won't use my slowcooker unless I have liners!!!  Yes, you still have to clean up the crockpot, but you don't have to scrub all the baked on stuff off.  You literally pull out the liner, toss it, and wash down the pot!  LOVE THEM!

  • Thank you ladies!  I'll put that on my list of things to get when I make my Target run today.
  • I totally agree- I won't use my slow cooker now without out a liner.  They make clean up so much easier.

  • I have a dissenting opinion.  They never fit my old slow cooker properly - the ceramic All Clad.  The thought of cooking something in plastic for hours on end also doesn't thrill me.

Same here.  I tried them a few times (really liked it the first time) but couldn't continue using them for those reasons.  I actually just found some the other day and threw them away.

This is kind of how I feel, too. They don't fit my old slow cooker properly (old as in, I still use it but it's 7 years old so an old model) so I can't use them there. They do fit the newer, smaller one I have but the one time I used them I kind of got grossed out by the way the plastic stuck a bit to the pot even though I only cooked something on low for 3-4 hours. It did make cleanup really simple, though!

  • I've never even tried them.  We're not a crunchy, super-green family at all, but this just seems like a lot of sense-less waste to me.

Plus, my husband does the dishes so the mess doesn't really bother me. ;)
