I think it's making DH nervous that I'm calling them "my" ferals. lol
Another picture of Carl (aka Cranky Old Man Cat):
He totally let me pet him today, and was all over me, in my lap, etc. I love him.
Anyway, I spoke to our local TNR group via facebook, and they have a vet that will fix the cats for super cheap ($25/cat) and they have someone who can help me trap when the time comes. SUPER EXCITED.
Also, I have a new found respect for rescue people. I've pretty much taken point on this project, and I have people asking me the same questions over and over and over again. I'm like, "READ THE FACEBOOK PAGE, THAT'S WHAT IT'S FOR!! FOR INFORMATION!" I don't say that, I totally understand that they're just concerned, but holy crap. lol
Wish me luck, ladies. I hope the next couple weeks goes smoothly and we can get these kitties fixed!

YES!
Also - he is beautiful!
I probably missed the original post (I've been MIA) but is he then only feral? How many do you "have"?

16-17 total. They are living by this old railway bridge in my town.
Carl is by far my favorite. (Don't tell the others.) lol
Three cats and two dogs is our household limit. If I brought Carl home to keep, DH might leave me.

My grandparents have a farm and have always had "wild" cats. I've always tried to "tame" them - about 2 years ago there was one kitten I was able to pick up, it was quite the achievement! My g-parents never did get them fixed or vaccines, so they did reproduce but luckily the litters were always about 2 kittens and they were always fed and had a warm barn to sleep in, in exchange they kept the rodent population down/manageable.
Thank you! I am setting up a chip-in. I had to open a PayPal account, so I'm just waiting for that to be verified before I can accept donations. I think it should be ready tomorrow night, so I'll PM you the link! I really, really appreciate it!
