We always had 2 cats, 2 boxes and scooped every other day, so I never really paid attention to the amount. MH took over box duties when I was PG and I didn't take it back until we just acquired the two new kittens (lost one cat, still have the other).
Lily is 11.5 years old and l-a-z-y. I'm scooping her box once a day and sometimes there is just one big pee clump in there. Sometimes two. Sometimes poops and sometimes not. Is this normal? Peeing once a day doesn't seem like very much!
The kittens definitely go more than that, but they are growing and super active. (Everyone is still going in separate boxes - old lady and new kitties separate).
Is a once a day pee OK!?
Re: How often does your cat pee and poop?
I think as long as she's going and it's a lot you're fine.
Sherlock pees 4-5 times a day and sometimes it's less but they are HUGE clumps. He poops once a day, but sometimes skips a day and goes twice in one day. I scoop his box twice a day.

I have to scoop the kitten's boxes twice a day. They go so much. I think that makes it seem even crazier that Lily doesn't go much! They are big clumps though so that's good (I do worry about her since she had UTI issues once a few years back).
I'll be interested to see if anyone else has an infrequent peer!
Mocha only pees once or twice a day. I think it's because peeing interrupts nap time?
He's medically healthy and the vet doesn't seem to think it's a concern, as long as he's drinking and going.
Penny only goes a one/two times a day, too.
Snow!
<a href="http://www.thenest.com/?utm_source=ticker&utm_medium=HTML&utm_campaign=tickers" title="Home DRosco is about the same as the others who have posted. Pee 3 or 4 times per day and poops once or twice. He's much younger than your kitty, just over a year. Like people, younger cats go more than older cats.
Today - not as much because he has a cold or allergies from the move (aka, no poop he slept all day - poor kitty).
But if you think about people (not the same as a cat but still...) it can very from day to day depending on how much you eat/drink. Every cat is different.
If your cat seems ok with everything, and the potty issues don't seem to be an issue for her this is probably her "normal" and I wouldn't worry too much!
It's hard to tell because we have four cats, five litter boxes, and they are raw fed.
That being said, I think everyone poops about once a day, but they pee a lot, and they pee 2-3 times a day. The amount of water in their food really increased their urine output.
Ours range in age from 16 months to 5 years.
I'm guessing 2-3 x day (24 hr. period) for pee and 1-2 x day for poop.
Yeah that's right my name's Yauch!
With 5 I'm not sure how many times each day each cat is going, but it's not a ton. There is more pee than poop, but I think that's largely attributed to the fact we feed raw.
DH has been doing the litterbox duties, but I know it's not a ton that he scoops. The boxes are scooped once a day.
Kittens do go a ton! I'm always reminded of that when we have foster kittens.
5 cats. 1 baby.
