So I hear there was a football game on today?
Go ahead, vent, discuss.

Re: So I hear there was a football game on today?
My team is going to the Superbowl again, woohoo!
ETA: Sorry, I was talking about the Pats and posted this before I knew the outcome of the 49ers/Giants game--sorry guys!.

I'm saddened. My dad is a BIG 49ers fan, and growing up on the peninsula I'm a (not die heard, but I cheer for) the SF teams, so I'm sad.
I can see all the red and gold lights on the buildings from my deck.. all that excitement and hope gone until next year It was so fun when the Giants won the Series, such shared joy ! would've been great to experience again!

Lol.
boo. I hate Brady with a passion. He is such a dbag. I don't care if he is a good QB.
and well, we know about the Giants
So I guess you are not a Bay Area gal anymore since you are rooting for the Pats.
Yeah, I'm normally not that into football, but I have some childhood nostalgia around the 49ers, and DH, my dad, my brother, lots of neighbors and friends are all fans. So I've watched more this season and it's been a pretty good run for them.
The game this past weekend was pretty heartbreaking. A stupid mistake cost them a chance at the Super Bowl. Oh well -- it is just a game, as I keep reminding myself and other people. There's always next year.
We probably won't watch the Super Bowl since we don't care for either team.
I'm Boston-born and bred so I've always really been a Boston sports girl at heart. Six years in the Bay Area can't erase that!
I get why Brady annoys people. Still have to root for the hometown team though! I do think the Pats got really lucky yesterday and didn't earn the win so much as had it handed to them.
I feel like that happened with both games yesterday!
here here.
I agree about Brady but Tim went to the game and had a blast. He was so excited that it's contagious. Even though I'm bummed that the 49ers blew it. At least one of our teams is in the big game.
And he did lead me to my first place win in my FF league so I can't hate him too much.
Looking back, all four teams were not that great yesterday. Think about it- each team only one by 3 points. There was no blow out (as opposed to the NE vs Denver game last weekend) as I was expecting this week.
