Okay, so I got to a point where I was tired of lunchmeat... kind of slippery and salty and not all that great, so I decided to try my own when I saw a 12 lb turkey for $7. Anyway, I used a blend of seasonings I created, put a quartered onion and a cored/quartered apple inside of it and put it in the crockpot on high for 8 hours or so. Oh my gosh... super yummy. So I ate this turkey leg and served it with wheat pasta/brussel sprouts (potatoes would have been yummier but trying to go a bit healthier). Anyway... I took the rest off the bones (it actually completely FELL off the bone) and bagged it for sandwiches. I should have some yummy sandwiches/wraps this week! ![]()
