More sleep questions.....new toddler sleep issues

So Julia was being put to bed with her book, music, pajamas, diaper routine.  She'd get rocked for a song, put in her crib and done.  Usually she cried a minute, if it was a bad night every once in awhile we'd go back in, calm her down, put her back in.  She was sleeping from 7:30 to 7:30.

She kind of talks now.  Last night we put her to bed at 8.  It was later than usual which typically messes up bed time, but she didn't fall asleep until 10.  She didn't cry, she gave us almost two full hours of: "Mama, Dada, Uh-oh.  Uh oh! UHOH! MOM! DAD! Dada dada dada dada.".  She talked the entire time.  She was calling for stuffed animals, grandparents, my mom's dog......

I could take crying because I knew she'd tire herself out.  This is so much worse.  Plus, she was a 2 hour nap taker and only slept 45 minutes the past two days.

  • This happened to us the other night! She sat in her crib going "Mommy? What's the matter? Mommy?" "Daddy? Daddddyyyy" "Come in", over & over for an hour. It was torture!!! My husband made me turn the monitor off because I was crying. lol

  • how old is she?  I distinctly remember DD being an awesome sleeper until she was 18 months old.  Out of nowhere she became the biggest PITA at bedtime.  Did a little reading and found out a few things about 18 month sleep regression.  Lasted about three months...torture!
  • 19 months.  Great! Ahhhhh
