I now know why watercolor sets say "4+"
Not because a 19 month old can't physically paint, but because 4 year olds will have the emotional maturity not to throw the water, picture and paint palette across the room when they realize how crappy the paintbrushes are.
She was crying and so angry that when she would move her brush around in the paint it wouldn't "hold" the paint. It was like trying to paint with metal. It took ME to really mix it hard and scrape paint onto the brush to get it to work.
