JoePa died post. It starts crazy enough with people defending him and saying unintentionally hilarious stuff like "no one has done more for kids than JoePa" and then devolves into throwing out test scores and advanced degrees to evidence smartness. Bonus: Amy#s sighting.

Re: In case you haven't seen this
Yes. Oh yes. He's also a JoePa defender and says my view is obviously skewed since I laugh at Larry David pissing on Jesus.
I read the first couple of pages earlier but gave up. I just started again on the page that you linked. And yeah, I'm immediately pissed off by JellyBeans.
I work in a manufacturing facility. And I work with a lot of reeeeally smart people. I bet a lot of them can even spell committee.

Seriously? He used that last time. Clearly, every thought you ever had is now invalid because you found a comedian funny. Every single thought ever.
But did they get a 5.5 on the GRE? Did they??
You know, I'm not sure. I think I'll suggest that our bios should now contain all of our standardized test scores so I know whether to take someone seriously or not.

This is racist against canadians. WTF are GREs? what is a SAT?
I"M SO LOST. How will I know if anyone is SMRT?
Oh, and I work in a manufacturing facility as well. Some people aren't the sharpest tools in the shed, sure, but those people are few and far between. The vast majority are very intelligent. But, what do I know? I only attended 3 years of undergrad (unless you count the community college I went to during HS), and three years of graduate school. I'm clearly not as intelligent as someone who did so well on the GREs (is 5.5 doing well? I never took them so I don't know. I only know LSAT score rankings)
It's so hard to tell the difference between mocking/discussing something and taking away the right to do it. I hate when I get those mixed up.
That was my point, to which he said that the NCAA took away his right to write godly things on his tape or some such nonsense. That's not exactly an inalienable right my friend.
I can't stand Tim Tebow and his lying ass mother.
Ick.
I also am always astonished at the level of reverence for college sports in general down there but this whole Joe Paterno thing is just beyond nuts.
I bet her FUPA's name is Shane, like the gunslinger/drifter of literature.--HappyTummy
They also took everyone's right equally. It's not like somebody else can post references from the Quran and he can't from the Bible.
Is Tim Tebow worried that people won't know he's Christian unless he puts it on his NCAA tape?
"The meek shall inherit the earth" isn't about children. It's about deer. We're all going to get messed the fuckup by a bunch of cloned super-deer.- samfish2bcrab
Sometimes I wonder if scientists have never seen a sci-fi movie before. "Oh yes, let's create a super species of deer. NOTHING COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG." I wonder if State Farm offers a Zombie Deer Attack policy. -CaliopeSpidrman
Oh, it's definitely not everywhere. Only when your school is *good* in something. Growing up I don't remember anyone going balls out for any collegiate sports.

It's definitely a thing in the South, but the reverence for Paterno seems unrivaled.
My highschool football team was sold for a baby grand piano.
My university football team was folded because no one went to any games.
I see these stadiums filled with college athletes in the US. College football games bring in more fans than any professional hockey game here. Its wild! WILD I say!
You should probably put this in your siggy so we all know to ignore you when you post about smartz things.
It sounds fun. And it provides for a lot of athletes I imagine. But yes, the fact that people are still defending his silence is bizaaarrrrrrrrrrro to me.
