I stole this from the Entertainment board...it was there a week or so ago, but I am trying to procrastinate at work.
What TV shows are you over/giving up on?
Re: Stolen Poll
We gave up on the following awhile ago:
Terra Nova (I never got into it, but DH was watching it) and Person of Interest.
I dropped Glee. I didn't really think about it, just one day I realized that we hadn't been setting the DVR for it and I didn't really care. I still watch it if it's on and I'm around, but we rarely watch TV live.
We still DVR Up All Night, but I'm not sure why. I don't really like it.
American Idol...I don't care anymore. I'm sure we will catch bits and pieces this year but whatever.
(Side note: I really like Terra Nova and I hope they don't cancel it!)

Gave Up--Grimm, Jersey Shore, Law and Order SVU
Giving Up--The Office, Glee, New Girl, The Walking Dead (which makes me sad because I LOVED that show and they drew out the whole Sophia thing WAY to long)
DH and I gave up on The Office after Steve Carrell left. We still watch it sometimes On Demand but I can't say I really miss it.
I'm kind of getting over Grey's. I still DVR it but I feel meh about it.
I'm over Jersey Shore and Teen Mom/Teen Mom 2.
I keep hanging on to The Office, but I'm done/close to it.
I'm also almost over Modern Family. They are getting to be caricatures at this point and Sofia Vergara needs to put her tits away. We get it, she's got big boobs, etc. but its distracting. they just need to do something different IMO
I like 30 Rock, but the timing never works for me and I feel werid/sad watching sitcoms on DVR.
Agreed about Gloria. But I still love that show - it's hysterical.

I forgot Biggest Loser too! They could cut the season to 5 episodes.
We don't watch very many shows - but Glee used to be on our short list and now it just sucks. It never had believable storylines; but in the beginning they were at least fun. Now it's just gotten annoying and the characters and stories are so inconsistent that the writers seem like they must be half asleep. The DVR still picks it up and I might put it on while I do other things - but I even forget to do that half the time.

BFP#2 1/12/12 ~ Missed M/C 8w2d
I'm giving up on The Closer, I used to watch it religiously but I've slacked this past season. It always seems too gimmicky and predictable. But I still catch it every now, hoping it's a good episode. I'm so over Law & Order SVU, I'm all about criminal intent!
I saw a few episodes of "Prime Suspect" last night and it looked pretty good! I love Maria Bello's character.
It's so strange to me that Gray's and Desperate Housewives are still on, since I watched them religiously the first 2-3 seasons- but then pretty much gave up on them and I can't say why exactly.
I was into Pan Am (which I believe is geting/got the axe) but mainly watched it on-demand or on the iPad- but probably haven't sought it out in like a month.
Basically if I don't have it programmed to be DVRd or it's not available on-demand, it's hard for me to commit.
Also 95% of what I watch is not network.
I am jonesing hard for Mad Men to come back on! I need my Sunday night fix of something since Boardwalk Empire ended.
I'm not even bothering with American Idol this season. I think X Factor got the reality-show-competition out of my system already.
I'm clinging to the Office but it has some weird episodes lately that aren't really funny. I didnt/dont think the show needs Steve Carell/Michael Scott to be funny, but it needs good writers and bleh, its just crappy this season.
I gave up on Desperate Housewives. I know it was the last season, and I've been committed to it for years and years. I was just bored of it and its ridiculousness.
I've very close to giving up on Glee. I like the music in it, but the plot lines are so stupid. And Lea Michele drives me crazy when she sings...so over the top.
We tried to watch Terra Nova, gave up a few shows in. I also watched Once Upon a time, but found that I fell asleep every week during it, so I don't think that one will be on my radar anymore.

I'm pretty sure that show's gotten the axe, so don't get too hooked.
I was into Grimm when it began but I'm frustrated with it now. They're not doing a great job of developing the core group of characters, and instead it's just a focus on the monster of the week and how they're killed.
Top Chef isn't great to me this season. It hasn't been great since the Voltaggio brothers were on. Also, I'm so sick of the Texas challenges. I'm still watching, but halfheartedly.
BBT used to be one DH and I were eager to watch every week, but now we tend to gather 2-3 episodes before we bother sitting down to watch.
ITA w/ this- it's very hard to top both the talent and hotness that is the Voltaggio brothers.
