Soooo, we are going to FL in April for a couples only trip but taking the boys with us to hand over to my mom for the week as she lives there.... All four of us were gonna go down sat but now I'm throwing around the option of taking the boys myself and going down like Wed or Thurs so I can hang with my mom a bit... (H cannot get off work early so that is not an option)?
I'm hesitant because my two yr old is he!! on wheels (not bad just a go-getter). The kid is a wild man. haha My 3.5 yr old I know would be fine.
So, am I nuts or suck it up and do it... I'll never see the people on the plane again right?!? ;-)
Married 5/14/07 Momma to two amazing boys 6/20/08 & 11/20/09
Re: Flying with 2 solo??
Just from my experience, it was a total nightmare. *I* was crying because my 2 yr old was so naughty on the plane, and in the airport, and everywhere else. Embarrassing much?
Would I do it again to spend more time with my family? YES. I have no family here, so I do this every summer, and I'll do it again this summer (same situation as you, hubs flies in at a different time).
Do it. It's only a few hours on the plane. I assume your DH will see you off and your Mom will help you when you get to your destination.
thanks to jennied
Where in Florida? I think it is doable as long as they know to listen. It might be beneficial to buy a double umbrella stroller that you can take with you and just have them in that if you have a plane change.
Flying into Tampa!
I am pretty sure I am going to do it, but people keep freaking me out. haha
I'd like to drive to Des Moines and fly non stop with Allegiant but we are using our air miles for this trip so have to do the one stop flight
easy. Do it!
It's not non stop and layovers look to be around an hour.
thanks to jennied
We are too late into April to get the seasonal flights. Only way to get non stop is to fly out of des moines which we are not going to do.
I am pretty sure I am going to do it. It's only part of the day... when we get there I will have my mom and then a few days later H will be there and we will set off for a week of just us.... so I'm gonna suck it up and hope and pray they are good.
