I'm sorry if you posted and I missed it, but how did DH's interview go???
Re: ::swinsto::
I did post, but I'll post again for ya. He thinks it went really well, but now he's all panicked because they told him they were making a decision last Friday and he hasn't heard anything. He left the hiring manager a voice mail today, but if they want him they need to get on it, because Academy starts next Monday! He really wants it at this point - he really liked the facility, there's tons of room for growth and he liked the team members he met. So we'll see - I told him he's going to get the call on Thursday that they want him there at 8 am Monday morning .
He's testing with Jeffco on Wednesday and Denver on Friday, which is the first of SEVEN steps in the hiring process for each of them, so keep those fingers crossed! Thanks for asking
No more baby siggie pics. Boo.
I missed the update too! I'm so glad it went well! Also, just FYI, I was rejected by Jeffco (assumption since I haven't heard) and Broomfield (not an assumption because I got an e-mail), so he's got 1 less competitor locally apparently... ugh...
He got his Broomfield rejecting today, too. And Ft Collins & Boulder, I think. Boo - maybe your Jeffco testing offer is coming?? This is so ridiculous. It shouldn't be this hard for qualified people to get a freakin' job.
No more baby siggie pics. Boo.
Agreed. I can't understand how I could be rejected for a caseworker position when my career has been mostly in case management... then again, I've heard from multiple sources that many positions are posted only as a formality and that higher ups have often already chosen someone (from within or a friend or something) to fill it. Tough stuff for the rest of the world without ridiculous connections (or money with which to bribe people?)! Grrr...
Hey S- thanks for updating. I've been wondering if you guys heard something.
Still got my fingers crossed for you!
