Need restaurnt rec ASAP - Ocean County
We are taking MIL out for her birthday (a big one) and wanted to go to a nice restaurant for about 7 people. I booked a place in red bank, but since its a weeknight, and everyones coming from further south, this might not work. We'd like a really nice place thats cost efficant. Even something fun, like dinner theater, or just a nice place woudl be fine too (more italian, american food). Thanks so much!

Sadly I dont have any favorite places in Ocean other then 709 in Point Pleasant but I dont know if that is what you are looking for
In Monmouth I would suggest Shipwreck Grill in Brielle, Firefly in Manasquan, Langoste Lounge, Fish, Moonstruck, Stella Marina all in Asbury Park. Tulipanos in Belmar is also very good since you asked for Italian as is Lubranos in Wall.
i second due amici- the food is always good. you should be fine with 7 people on a weeknight, but i would call ahead, just in case.
i dont find the piano guy cheesy at all!
Stella Marina in Asbury Park is great and they also have a "sister" restaurant in Long Branch - Serena - both are on the ocean. Steall Marina is a bit louder and Serena is a table cloth type of place - both great food and same menu
