Wetting the bed

Dylan hasn't had an accident or peed the bed in months, a really long time. The past 5 mornings, he's woken up soaked. I try to not make a big deal of it, but isn't it weird that it's out of the blue, and 5 times in a row? Nothing else has changed, I've limited his drinks at night, etc.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Re: Wetting the bed

  • is he having bad dreams or anything? ask him how he feels when he wakes up- if he's scared or nervous. is he eating a lot of watermelon or any other foods that tend to make you need to pee?
  • He's said no to dreams, he's been sleeping fine, he's quiet as can be in his room all night.

  • it could be a growth spurt, that happened with Kieran- is anything new happening at home? When Mike was traveling, Kieran would pee the bed- it was subconsciously to stay with me, since he was missing Mike, but once we talked to him about it and helped him process his feelings, he was fine- He still has occasional accidents, but not nearly the almost every day that was happening at this time last year.

Good thought. MH was away for two nights earlier in the week, and then this happened after MH got back, but that's a possibility. Everything else at home's the same.
