  • My mom yes, my in laws no. They only speak Portuguese and Bella does not so there is issue #1. Issue two is that they both have so many medical ailments they could not physically deal with Andrew. If you are meeting them down there then I do not see why not.
  • sure if they could handle ds!  he's a handful.

It depends on your relationship with your in-laws and their relationship with your kid. Obviously everyone has different relationships so you're going to get the whole spectrum of answers.

Neither set of our parents could've handled it now. Ten years ago my IL's probably could have. My mother was not that responsible with us as kids, when she was alive so I'd have a hard time sending her on her way with my kid. But, I do have close older friends of the family (older than my IL's & parents) I'd probably let him go with.

  • As long as you feel comfortable with the care they would provide, sure.  Another factor for me would be my childs comfort. Will TJ be ok with being away from you for 3 days?  I have always struggled with this, DD hates to be away from me even now at the age of 9 regardless of who she is with.
  • Yes!  Both my ILs and my parents!  My kids have been staying at my parents shore house without us since they were little!  Sometimes they go for a day, Olivia went for 10 days when I was PG and due with Ava!  She wouldn't come home!   It ended up working out b/c I went into labor while she was there and she HAD to come home to see her new sister...otherwise she'd probably have stayed longer!  LOL
  • Yes, with my mother or my mother in law.  I remember being a kid and going on all kinds of grandma vacations, it was the best!

  • My parents- completely. My IL's not a chance. They haven't ever been alone with her. And I think all parties involved are content with that.
