do you have a written contract with your sitter, so there is no misunderstanding? or is it all verbal? am i too anal?
Re: kellyann
verbal.
We set up a rate of pay, explained that when we cancelled on her we would pay her (since thats our choice) and since she is part time we give her a weeks vacation with pay (when we go on vacation and a week without pay (which is a week of her choice) We did 2 weeks with pay with a full time sitter.
She will occasionally fold laundry and will help straighten up after the kids (but mine are older and I expect them to be able to clean up after themselves). When she started I went through their schedules and told her the full and half days we would need coverage from her, made her a schedule outlining when tutoring, gymnastics, Kit fit and soccer practices are so she knew when she had to drive. We each try to let the other know ASAP when something is coming up.
She is PT averaging like 15-20 hours a week and I guess we are more flexible with that.
thanks.
my head is spinning with how to coordinate/work this arrangement.
