Hi ladies,
Please recommend your pediatric ENT's. Preferably if they are associated with Hackensack Hospital.
My DD is 17 months old and currently has fluid in her ears. Her current ENT is suggesting we get tubes put in and also remove her adenoides (which he says are enlarged and not allowing the fluid from her ears to drain properly). When i spoke to her pediatrician, she said that she didn't think she would need the tubes put in because she has never had an ear infection in her life and this is the first time she's ever had any big issues with her ears/health. As any parent would be, DH and I are very nervous about putting her through surgery and would just like to get a second opinion or see if there is anything else we can try before going the surgery route. TIA!
Also, if your child has gone through this procedure, please share with me your experience.

We used Dr. Surow for W's tubes in July. W had fluid & ear infections from February - June. It was a no brainer for us cause he was miserable. We were very very comfortable with Dr. Surow.
Dr. Sorvino in Morristown is recommended by most docs around here. He did Grayson's tube surgery - so fast and easy.
He seemed like he was very honest with us about everything - I'd trust him to say that a child did NOT need tubes if that was the truth.
