how many pairs of underwear does your PT child have?

I went a little nuts last week and bought a million pairs of underwear for Caleb. Mostly b/c he was peeing thru about 12 pair A DAY and thats all I had (and they're the thicker training underwear.) I was doing laundry every night. I ordered 2 packs from Target and went to Walmart and bought 2 packs.

Well he got the hang of it by the end of the week and the Target underwear JUST came today. I'm not sure if I should keep both packs. One is a duplicate Toy Story pack, even though they're not what was pictured. So I'm thinking that I should be ok with 20 pair?  He's still having accidents but only MAYBE once a day, and I'll probably get rid of the training underwear since they're too small on him anyway.

  • I went nuts, and got 40 pairs!!  I gave some to my parents and some to my ils.  Then she had some bad accidents and I just threw those pairs of underwear out.  I think we have like 25 now.

  • A lot. Probably 25 or 30 pair. Like you J still has days with 2 sets of underwear. Also like today he fell in a puddle and was soaked so we changed him then too. I vote hang onto the extras. You'll use them and you won't have to do laundry quite as often bc of him. Congrats for getting to this milestone w him. I know what a battle it's been. Yes

  • we have a ton. i don't think you can have too many.

For us, G took a long time to poop train. If she pooped in underwear it went in the trash.

  • We have maybe 25. 3 to 4 live at daycare. 1 lives in the diaper bag. I do so much laundry because of the baby that we never run low.

Also my kid is part camel and pees only 2 or 3 times a day. (doc isn't worried)

Oh good point about spares for school and when we're out. I'm still sending him to school in a pull up since we're not quite there yet, but I'll def have to send a few pairs in when we do get there!

  • I don't think you can ever have enough underwear but especially with a PTing child. My son had/has like 25 pairs or more. We keep some at school, keep a pair on us and the rest are at home in case of nighttime bed wetting, etc.
