Don't they make sour straws, or something? I seem to remember eating those as a kid.

The sour patch straws might be something I can get my hands on! These are some good ideas.
The second problem is that I'm a procrastinator and I have to put this sucker (and my nieces') together on Saturday for the party on Sunday. I don't think I'm going to have time to order candy. I'm googling now to see if we have a Party City...
Oh, and my sister sent me the picture of the cake from Pinterest. It's adorable.
I hope I can at least get it to some resemblance of this one!
