Yummy Crockpot Recipe

A friend shared this recipe and we had it tonight. I only used 3 chicken breast as they were quite large. I think it was about 1.5 lbs.

6 Chicken Breasts

16 oz Sour Cream

1 Can Cream of Mushroom

1 package of dry onion soup mix

Combine in crockpot and cook on low for 4-6 hours.

Serve over egg noodles.

Re: Yummy Crockpot Recipe

  • That's my exact beef stroganoff recipe, except with cubed beef instead of chicken and I usually throw in a jar of mushrooms (with the juice) too.
  • I did add a package of fresh already cut up mushrooms too. Totally forgot :)

  • What was the texture of the cooked chicken like?  I made something similar and the chicken was so dry.  :(  I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
  • That sounds yummy!  I wonder if you can substitute greek yogurt for the sour cream to make it a bit healthier?

I usually add a little water to mine so it doesn't dry out if I'm leaving the house all day.  Sometimes the juice from the mushrooms is enough though.
