Recommend restaurant in NNJ for girl's night

A group of us are getting together to celebrate a 40th birthday. Open to all yummy suggestions. Somewhere close to a place to grab a drink after a plus. I am thinking Hoboken but open to all suggestions. Thx.

i love the melting pot for girl's nights... you can just do the salad, cheese fondue course, and the chocolate fondue, and its plenty of food. its a long meal, but thats whats fun about it- you can have a great time talking and catching up. they also have great drinks- the yin and yang is amazing!

  theres one in hoboken, so you could definitely eat there and then do some bar hopping

I was also going to say The Melting Pot.

I also love Tao's in East Rutherford.

Unfortunately the birthday girl is lactose intolerant so we can't do the Melting Pot, lol.  Any other suggestions?

I am not sure where you live, but my girlfriends and I went to Parings in Cranford for her 35th last week.  It was really good and BYOB.  I live way up in Sparta and love the Mohawk House for a night out.

We went to SM23 in Morristown for my birthday. Had a bunch of appetizers and then stayed for drinks and dancing. It was DEAD when we first got there (8:30pm), but was totally happening by 10-11pm.........

Oh, and SM23 isn't really a "restaurant" - it's more of a bar/lounge with some food.....you could always go next door to one of the other restaurants before a drink.

Im not sure how far north in NJ you want to go but we went here for a moms night out

also there is 

Sear House in Closter- havent been there but hear good things

I also just heard a rave review for Pairings in Cranford.  My friend said it was "NYC good" and it's BYOB

Chakra in Paramus (Rte 4) is perfect for a GNO.
