stupid q - Redbox

I haven't rented a DVD since probably the year 2000. DH and I are having a date night at home and we were thinking we would rent a movie. I see those Redbox kiosks everywhere. Do I just go to one and bring my credit card? Any idea how much it costs?

(We have pay per view here at home but those are $7-10 each and I'm thinking Redbox is probably cheaper than that, but I might be off...)

Re: stupid q - Redbox

  • I think they are only still a $1 a day. You can also sign up online and "reserve" a specific title after picking the location you want near your house. Each location has a different selection too.

  • They are $1 plus tax. And all you need is a credit/debit card. They're super easy to use.
  • The went up to $1.29.  And if you forget to take it back, it no longer charges you each individual day that you don't.  It waits until you bring it back then does the late charges all at once.
