Equilibration/occlusal adjustment
I hope I got that right. Between my bite being off and the grinding/clinching my jaw, my teeth aren't doing so hot and I'm having a lot of TMJ issues so my dentist wants to do this. He said he doesn't numb you up and it takes 1 1/2 - 2 hrs so it can be uncomfortable. I have to take a couple of pills to dry my mouth out an hour before the appointment and was told not to wear my contact because it will dry my eyes out too. Yuck. The receptionist at the dentist office has had it done and it wasn't fun at all, but that it has helped a lot. I'm a little scared. I don't even like having my teeth cleaned so any sort of dental work makes me nervous. The wear and tear on my teeth is bad though so I just need to tough it out and do it.
