As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Another reason FB is bad for the family dynamic...
My youngest sister (19) just changed her relationship status from engaged to married. First of all, somehow I missed that it was changed to "engaged" and secondly, I had no clue that she was even seeing someone. She is such a freakin' train wreck! She's already dropped out of her medical assistant program that we were all praying and hoping she'd get through since it's only an 8 month program and she'd more than likely be able to get into a stable career with. What's even more funny is that she's like "oops, that was supposed to be blocked." WTF? I basically responded that maybe she shouldn't post such personal things that she "thinks" she has blocked from her friends and that if she truly was married it's a public record so what's she's hiding...
I feel so bad for lost souls like this. My heart breaks every time I see a post from her. Maybe I should "ignore" her.

No kidding, but to her defense she thought what she was posting was "blocked" - ha!
If she thought it was blocked, why did she post it? I guess I don't see the point.
Sigh, it's these kinds of things that remind me that I won the sibling lottery. Sorry she's a pain.
Yeah, but she doesn't get this at all. Her most recent rebuttal includes "you don't have to deal with it". ::head banging on my desk::
Ugh...i'm so sorry to hear this. All of these stories about people announcing information on FB just baffles me. If it's private, why put it on FB?!

Of course, it makes me feel old, because you have a 19 yo sister and my siblings are 50ish.
I wish had 50 something siblings. At that point, I would just not care and be thankful she had made it that far in her life.

Ditto. All of my siblings are in their 40s - about to hit 50, so I don't get drama like this, but different drama instead.
Sorry that you had to find out that way. Hopefully she'll get her life together at some point.
