These ranking things are pointless and just cause more controversy and debate for people in politics that have no clue about education.
Notice how the lowest performing schools are the schools whose students are in the lowest socioeconomic group, whereas the top districts are the ones with students coming from the highest socioeconomic groups.
It sucks but it's true, that is why a lot of schools fail is because we can't compete with the struggles our students are going through outside of the school.
TOTALLY agree with you. My husband and I were talking about this the other day. And not to mention how the FCAT determines rankings. /eyeroll
