So it seems like for the past few weeks, at least once a week, Juliet comes home in a pull up or diaper that is not hers and is often at least a size too small. Every time it happens I mention it to the teacher at drop off. Last week when it happened again, the teacher said she would double check that Juliet had pull ups and had not run out. I called later that morning and was told she had half a pack in her little bin and half a pack set aside. Today she comes home in a smaller size pull up!! How many times does this have to happen? I find it incredibly annoying and lazy on their part.
And I dont think it would annoy me as much, but we have been back and forth to the pediatrician 3 times in the last 3 weeks trying to fight this horrible diaper rash and putting her in a smaller pull up doesnt help. I would say something to the director, but she tends to take offense to things that are bugging parents and doesnt say anything like she will take care of it or talk to whomever. I dont get it...
Re: Would this annoy you...Day Care related
Mention it to the director. It happened to Matthew a bit and I finally told the director because clearly the message wasn't getting to the afternoon girls. They apologized and it didn't happen again.
Like your dd we were having rash issues at that time too.
This would bother me more than the diaper issue.
*always remembering Annaleigh Lucy*
Happened ALL the time at her old daycare. It annoyed the heck out of me, partially it was just another symptom that the girl in charge of her room didn't care, also it was a money issue, we bought a name brand to control rash issues and she would develop rashes from that brand. She was never out of supplies when it would happen.
I did talk to the director.
I agree...
I agree and when I don't feel the director cares, I go to the owner which is what the owner requested. I've only had to do it once.
me too! i mean, the diaper issue IS annoying. But what's more annoying is not having anyone to discuss concerns with. How can anyone be confident of their kids care if it's "daycares way or the highway" basically?
A friend left the center after 2 weeks because of concerns she brought to the directors attention and she blew them off and this was with an infant. We've been having issues with the director lately. We sat down with her last week because of some other issues we thought was going on between J and another kid in her class. Sitting there talking to her she started making it out like my kid was the bad kid in class and saying well she did this and she did that. I had to stop her and saying this isnt a pissing contest between what my kid did or didnt do. I just want to know what is going on and what you and your staff are going to do to fix the problem.
I spoke with the assistant director again this morning, mainly because I wanted to discuss this in person and the director doesnt come in until after or around 9. The AD jumped up and was like that's it, we are getting to the bottomo of this. She had to get a school age kid on the bus and she would look into it. She called me on my way to work and said that the diapers that she is being put in are in the bin right above J's and from now on they are going to change J first so there are no more mistakes and if there are to let her know.
I am glad she called and I didnt have to deal with the director because I probably would have gone off. I don't want to have to change centers again. This is the 2nd one J is in since we have been in MD. I think we are leaning down that road though. The base we work at is opening a new center shortly and she is on the list for that. My true feeling is that the director's issue is with us and not J, because if I ever thought J wasnt being treated or taken care of to my standards, she would be out of there ASAP.
