Kid with the pukes and a teething question
A couple questions: C has had 2 HUGE pukes this week, randomly. The first was Monday after he ate in the morning when I was changing his diaper. There was so much puke I had to turn him on his side and it just kept coming. No fever, acting ok besides an extra nap during the day. It happened again at daycare today. This time it was midmorning after he'd eaten some solids while sitting up in a bouncy chair. Again, no fever but dc lady said he was a little quieter than normal. I called the nurse Monday and she suggested to hold solids for 24 hours, keep him hydrated, and call if he spiked a fever > 102. I did the same today with holding solids. He had another small spit tonight, but nothing close to the others. DH has been sick for a couple days but has had minimal contact with him. He's had normal diapers and is eating fine. Would you be concerned? Stomach flu? Something else? To complicate things, he's teething. So far, 1 upper tooth has come thru. I think its his eye tooth, bit it could be the lateral incisor. It's pair is almost thru on the other side and the 2 matching teeth on the bottom are visible. Has anyone else's kiddo cut teeth so out of order like this before?! Sorry no paragraphs, typing on my phone
Re: Kid with the pukes and a teething question
I don't think I'd be concerned about the puking unless it is happening regularly or he gets a fever/starts acting sick. He might have a small stomach bug. If he was doing it regularly and/or seeming like he was dehydrated then I would be concerned and make a trip to the Dr.
As for teething, my DD got her lower central incisors first (at the same time) and the next was her upper lateral incisor. I don't remember what came next without getting the baby book out, but her upper "fang" gave us a good laugh for awhile.
E's top side teeth came in before her middle two, she looked like a little vampire.
Could he have drainage from a cold making him sick? When E gets an ear infection she pukes or the drainage upsets her tummy. This just happened yesterday. She was pretty much fine after she was sick.
