I'm calling out sm23. The girl got a kickass job in her field after being laid off. I think it got a little buried in the good things post.

awwww you guys!! I totally didn't notice this post until now and I'm all verklempt
This is very sweet of you all.
Yes, I got laid off... which was really a positive change for me (and for DH) after all was said and done. Just got a fantastic new job and I start on Monday. I'm a little nervous because it's a new field and there will be a lot to learn, but I couldn't have asked for a better situation after a layoff (the pay, the commute, the kind of work I'll be doing are all a good fit, and there are even people at this organization that I worked with before, so there will be some familiar faces.) I feel really really lucky in general, but especially in light of the economy, that things worked out this well for me. I'm very grateful.
But, sadly, my unlimited free time is coming to an end
I don't know if I'll be able to Nest from work anymore but I'll certainly try to check in in the evenings and weekends. And many of you know how to reach me elsewhere too
