Re: AW Thursday
As part of my job, I am part of one of the local plant clubs that meets at our facility. They aren't always the nicest people, but last night at their meeting everyone was nice, and I actually had a good time and feel like I might finally be getting along OK with the group of people! Phew!
It's technically next week but LO turns 6mos old on Monday - I cannot believe it's been 1/2 year already. Time is flying by and I can hardly remember him being a little squishy newborn
.
Funny story - I was going through his clothes and getting the too small ones put into storage bins and I showed H a newborn sleeper and said "oh remember when James fit into this..." H looked at it and said "He never fit into that"....except he did. Of course he has been wearing 12mo sized clothes since he was 5mos old so he grew a bit since being born!
Possibly free dinner?!
On Tuesday I mentioned a friend of mine met a guy on plentyoffish.com, and they're planning to go out to dinner next Thursday. Her mom offered to buy dinner for DH and I if we stalk them and make sure she doesn't die (she's had bfs, but never met anyone online before). Now, I sorta feel bad and before her mom even offered to pay, I was the one that suggested DH and I go (sit at another table) and stalk from afar. I am willing to pay (and have a reason to go out to dinner!) but I also don't mind a free dinner...
we shall see!
I think my chances of getting the job I interviewed for on Tuesday are pretty high!
I got an e-mail from my friend's mom (the one who recommended me for the job) and she said, "Also, wanted you to know that everyone liked you, although they said the interview was somewhat a formality since you came highly recommended. So, I would expect you would very likely be selected for any opening".
It's not a definite job offer, but the chances are looking good!
I love/hate that stressful/busy/fun feeling!
P.S. I'm going to Las Vegas in November and NYC for NYE!
