Lansing's Marathon, Half and 5K
Is anyone planning to run Lansing's first marathon? How about the half-marathon or 5K?
Re: Lansing's Marathon, Half and 5K
Is this the one in September? I think they had it last year too. I'll be running a half in the fall but haven't decided which one yet.
I havent heard of this - when is it?
Although I'm not a runner, both my brother and dad are - they might be interested in running!
Do you have any info on this?
Looks like the website hasn't been updated for 2012 info but here's their FB page. Looks like they are still planning on it! I didn't run last year but from what I hear it was a good turnout!

April 22 there is a full marathon in Lansing. The half is the same time as the full, and the 5k is the day before. There is a free training session on Wednesday nights whether you are running this race or not. I have no affiliation with this beyond being a participant that wants the race to be successful. If you are looking for information it is called the Lansing Marathon.
The Capital City River Run is the half in the fall. I ran that one last year, and it is a fun race. It supports Impression 5 which I love.
Where is this at?
The training sessions are run by Owen Anderson, the organizer of the marathon. They are held at 5:15 on Wednesdays at Bethlehem Lutheran Church (549 E Mt Hope Ave). There is more info at Lansingmarathon.com or the Facebook page.
Thanks for the info!
I'm passing it on to my brother/dad right now!
Maybe (if i work my butt off) I can do the 5k in September. It would be awesome if I could, I've never run a 5k before. So it would be for the experience. I come from a family of runners and I'm kinda the odd one out. We'll see! There's always next year if I'm not ready this year!
