Does anyone have a bedroom set from Ashley furniture?

Looking at a set for Livy.  How's the quality?  Trying to balance something nice but not break the bank.

Re: Does anyone have a bedroom set from Ashley furniture?

  • I've only heard bad things about the quality of Ashley furniture. My mom is in interior design and recommends Ikea frequently (so not a brand name snob at all), but tells people to steer clear of Ashley because it's very poorly made.

That's what I remember hearing as well but wanted to throw it on here and gauge.  Thanks for the input!

  • We don't have bedroom furniture from Ashley but we do have couches from there and we hate them!
  • I rec. checking out furniture from JCP.com, their stuff has been great and you cannot beat the prices. Esp. for kid's rooms.
  • Couches are fine....the furniture I would not get.  I have so many dings I never got with "good" furniture.

Good call, that's where we got her current daybed and it was a bargain and still doing great 3 years later!  However my changing table and a dressed I bought from them have really crappy drawers.

  • We do. It looks really nice and does the job. We're happy with it.
  • We have couches that are 5+ years old and still look great. Our wood furniture is from American Signature and we've been very happy with and it's very affordable.
  • Our bedroom set is from there but Ashley doesn't make all their furniture.  Our set is made by someone else and Raymoore & Flannigan carried the exact one but was more $$$.  We bought it in August and I love it.

I also have couch, love seat and a leather ottoman from the AShley outlet and love them as well.  No complaints from me.

  • Our bedroom set is from Ashley and we haven't had any issues with the quality. It was the style we liked, at a very affordable price so overall our expectations aren't high. We've had no problems w/ scratches/dents/dings/etc and they're sturdy. I doubt everything is solid wood, and certainly things like the drawers are a little on the thin side, but we were ok with that since we're not looking for furniture that would be an heirloom or anything.

  • We had our original set from Ashley's Millenium line and we gave it to to my cousin a few years ago. It is 8 years old and and still in perfect condition.
