if you conduct background checks on employees...
How do you (or DO YOU) word in the job posting that they will be subject to a driving record (or other background search) check and that the offer of employment will be contingent on a satisfactory report?
Re: if you conduct background checks on employees...
I am not a recruiter but I do work in HR. We don't word that in the job posting but it is discussed once someone gets to the interview stage and they sign release forms at that point. In the offer letter though there is a paragraph "this offer is contingent upon satisfactory reference check, driving record, background check, etc.". If the job requires driving then the ad may say "valid DL with clean record required", etc. etc. I don't think that's something always worded in a job posting but I suppose if you wanted to that just list the "disclaimer" in the posting with a sentence or two.
