I took a tour of the ECE this morning and got to see your little Cooper! The director was introducing us to the staff in the first nusery we saw and she introduced us to "Miss Deb," who I remembered you raving about. And then I noticed this sweet little boy sitting in a high chair that resembled the photo in your siggy and I asked if that was Cooper and they were like "Yes, how do you know him?" So I was like "I know his mom, Keri." To which of course my DH was like "How do you know her?" and I'm giving him looks like "Shut up, I know her from the internet and a few happy hours but don't really want to say that here."
Cooper is so adorable and he seemed quite happy while we were there. I also was really impressed with the center. All the babies seemed really engaged and happy and the staff seems to really like what they do. And the director seems to really enjoy what she does as well and seems to run an efficient center. It was much better than the center we toured last week where I just couldn't envision myself leaving my baby. So we put our name on the waitlist and it looks fairly promising that they'll have an opening in late April, assuming all the babies scheduled to move up to the toddler rooms do as they are anticipating.
Anyhow, you were the one who told me about this place so thank you for the recommendation. On the waitlist form, it asked how we heard about the center and I said I was referred by you. Although I totally had to guess at your last name and realized after the fact that I was close, but botched it at bit, so sorry about that!
Re: ****Todd'sLovelyWife***
Awwww- it is a good sized center, so that makes it a better shot at getting a spot at the right time too!
I can't say enough good things about the place - it is structured in all the ways I look for, yet loving and individualized to each family and child as well. I am so happy to have Coop there, and Deb is a freaking dream. I would steal her to be Coop's private nanny for always if I could afford it.
April will be around when Cooper moves up. I can't believe it is so close!
I bet they thought it was crazy that you knew a random kid!
At Kaiser a few weeks ago on a Saturday, I came around the corner into the pharmacy and Cooper cleared the corner before me because of how I was carrying him, and I heard a voice go "Hi Cooper!!" before I could see anyone. It was so strange to hear! Turns out, it was Miss Deb.
Glad you liked it as much as I do!
