Ok, I do a lot of chain piecing, but I don't have any teeny scissors, so I end up snipping those threads between the pieces with my regular scissors. It works fine, but I do worry about accidentally snipping something that doesn't need snipped.
Well, I've been doing all this little fussy sashing and doing a TON of chain piecing, and instead of grabbing my scissors at one point yesterday, I accidentally grabbed the little gift wrap cutter (like, it is similar to a seam ripper but the blade is totally shielded) that randomly got put in my tool caddy on my desk. It worked awesome! It is sharp enough to cut the thread quickly and easily, and I don't have to worry about snipping fabric or anything.
This probably makes ZERO sense, so I'll have to take pictures one of these days and post it. It works really well!
