Shower not happening on Saturday, BFF in hosp. til Mon.

Not sure what's going to be... She may wind up being kept on bed rest.

If catered food can't be cancelled, I guess we have to have the party without her. Feels strange. 

She's disappointed but of course, her and her baby's health are of utmost importance.

i was thinking about that. how weird/sad would that be to see your shower going on without you though no?

but at least she can be a part of it and not sitting in a hospital bed wondering- also You can tell people to bring the gifts unwrapped and then show them off at the shower and wrap them there - we did this for my cousin who lived to far away to get here-

That really stinks but if it does happen I think Skyping is a good option.  I went to a bridal shower once where they skyped with the bride's sister who was in Greece.

Sorry   I think Skype is a fantastic idea!  If she is on bedrest, she will be thankful for the diversion.  Make sure her hospital has internet.  No internet on the high risk ward when I was at St. Peters - a blessing and a curse - no Googling what could go wrong - but no games to keep me busy.

maybe throw a wrapping shower?  supply the paper and ribbon.  have a contest for the fanciest bow instead of baby-related games. 

 Then you can bring the smaller things to the hospital and she can open them for something to do while on bed rest. i wouldn't want someone else to open them for me while i'm just watching through a screen. but a fun party in my honor to wrap up gifts for my baby would be fine with me.
