  • Ordering something takeout-esque

We bought a laptop yesterday, so that was our gift. We will probably do something small for each other too...

  • if anything, i'll buy a nice bottle of wine for us. i wanted to book a couple's massage for us, but since i don't have the money to spare right now, i think we'll do gifts.

    Ditto!

We'll have a 2 week old so likely just dinner and an evening on the couch.

Wait...that sounds pretty damn nice to me :)

love is for every her, love is for every him, love is for everyone
  • E and I are making V-day cards this weekend for immediate family members.  It's something fun for her to do and our immediate family loves getting hand made ones.  We do store bought for school/daycare.

Dh usually gets "man flowers" (beer).

We don't do dinner out on Valentines, usually it's dinner as normal with maybe a treat for E.  Our newest dessert is a banana cut up with a little bit of chocolate sauce, whip cream (the can kind) and a cherry on top.  Mmmmm!  E loves this and it's some what healthy.

  • Uhhh, yeah V-day went out the window 2 years ago when I had Delilah (2/15). Plus our anniversary is a month later and that's much more important to celebrate! We may go out to dinner.

  • Wwe have no plans. We leave for Key West on Tuesday and leave for CO on the 15th. Happy V-day for us!

  • Our anniversary is on the 19th, so we don't do V-Day, plus DH works Tuesday nights.  I have some really fun gift ideas for the kid's daycare/school friends and the kids and I will prob get a heart shaped pizza.

  • I have a slight aversion to Valentine's Day due to something that happened in my past, so I kind of dread the day.  And red roses.  My exH always sent me red roses anyway.  What a peach.

Anyway, BF and I kind of agree that it is just another day.  There are 364 other days in a year where we can show each other love, too!  :)

So, we set a $50 limit on gifts.  I asked for a heart rate monitor.  So romantic.  I'm probably getting him a grill pan he wants.

  • We are not really Valentine's people...will probably make a nice meal at home and maybe go out to dinner somewhere nice the weekend after...and don't usually do gifts, just cards.

I did find some really cute Valentine ideas for the kids to take to preschool and daycare so that is fun!  And I usually make heart-shaped panckaes that morning and get the kiddos a Valentine-related book (which i do for every holiday).

  • Ha!  I scheduled a therapy dog visit that night so I won't even see DH.  We're so romantic.

  • I was just thinking about coming over to post something about this, I want to do something nice for DH, I feel like we've been pretty dull lately, staying in a lot, saving money, lots of TMI sharing about PG symptoms...lol.  I need a gift idea that is inexpensive and then we'll probably go to dinner.
  • We always get each other something for Valentine's Day. I got H some cufflinks and a watch (thank you nomorerack.com!). Last year we went to James Arthur Vineyard. They had a chocolate meal event. It was fun. I'm not sure what we're doing this year. We're trying to get our master bath remodeled, so we'll probably do something low key/affordable!
  • We do not celebrate v day.... we both feel its just another day.... I would rather have flowers on a day he felt he wanted to get them than a day he is supposed to get them. Vday is just not romantic to me at all.
Married 5/14/07 Momma to two amazing boys 6/20/08 & 11/20/09
  • Currently we both work that day. We typically just do a nice dinner somewhere the weekend before or after. Really don't celebrate V-day much.

  • We are Vday people.  No gifts though.  We started dating (twice) on Vday and got engaged then.  We would have gotten married then if it wasn't so freaking expensive that day in Vegas. We don't celebrate anything else, really.  Anyway.

We're going to dinner at Kobe that eve with a group of friends.

If you like Chinese, you should like it.  It's more of an event place - they cook at your table, flip shrimp at you, among other entertaining things.  I've always had a good time there.  It's usually pretty loud and obnoxious so if that's not your thing, I'd say go elsewhere.  I like loud and obnoxious and sake bombs :)

  • We'll be driving back from Denver that day, so I' hoping that his gift to me will be to let me nap while he drives & I'll give him the gift of not backseat driving like I usually do Stick out tongue.

  • DH, DD and I are going to dinner as a family at Biaggi's. After dinner we'll probably go home and watch movies. We'll also do gifts although I'm not sure what those will be yet.

This. Actually this year he's working 7a-7p & I'm working 7p-7a, so we won't even see each other on Valentine's Day.

Same here (minus the 2 week old, mine will be 12 weeks that day Sad)  We've never really done stuff for Valentine's Day and all that.
