What random things do your pets do?
My dog, Lulu, takes my tank tops out of my under the bed drawer. I don't know why. I find them scattered around the bedroom! She likes to sleep in my clothes. What things do your pets do?
Re: What random things do your pets do?
Our cat Penny sleeps under the covers with us in the winter time. She paws at the covers to let us know she wants in and the crawls all the way to the bottom where our feet are to sleep.
This reminds me of something Maxx does. He will only eat his big treats (bully sticks, dental chews, etc) on the carpet or other soft surfaces. It doesn't matter if you give it to him in the kitchen, he will hold it in his mouth, do his wiggle walk and silmultaneously push open the gate door. It's pretty cute, especially when he can't get it on the first try. You can see him thinking, "hmm, how can I push the door open wider, while still holding on to my yummy treat".
Piper-75 pound dog- sleeps under all of our covers, between DH and I every night from about September through May.
Two of our cats like to climb in my drawers and pull my socks and tank tops out and run with them throughout the house.
Abby has a love affair with rolled-up socks. She knows where the sock drawer is and while I'm in the shower, she opens it up and pulls out a pair to play with.
It's really kinda cute. She pulls out a pair and puppy-trots around the house with them in her mouth. I think she's thinking "yay - she didn't see me pull these out!"

Cooper is a cardboard-wh*re. We have a paper bag next to our garbage can where we put paper recycling. I'll toss egg cartons, Wheat Thin boxes....cereal boxes in there along w/newspaper & etc. We'll come home from work & there will be shredded boxes all over the living room floor! Its hilarious! A couple times a week he just goes & picks out that certain "something" from the bag, carries it into the LR, & shreds it! Lately he's been doing it in front of me when I go to get my shoes on (in the kitchen) to go for a walk. I'll be tying my laces & he'll be standing there waiting, then he'll go over to the bag, dig around for that "something" pull it out, run into the LR, shred it, then come back to the kitchen ready to go for a walk. Lol!
He'll also shove his head into whatever shopping bag I walk in the door w/, Just in case there's something in there for him!
But this is my favorite
Sammy licks plastic bags and the shower curtain liner. She also likes to nibble the edges of cardboard boxes. She'll sit inside the box and chomp off little pieces of cardboard.
Scamp randomly "chirps" when you touch her unexpectedly. It doesn't matter where I touch her, if she's zoning out or not paying attention to me and I give her pet, she'll go "mrrrrrrrrrrr!!" She also randomly lies on her back in the middle of the floor. Or at least, she used to before Zoey came along. Haven't caught her flashing her belly since the crazy dog monster made her appearance. :P

Our 9 yr old blue tick hound, Eden, does this as well! Its rubbing off on our 3 month old blue tick puppy, Mason. Its funny to see him try it!
Ferris does both of those! lol He also likes to lay on the flat side of an 18 pack egg carton. He tucks his legs and tail in and will lay on it in the middle of the kitchen floor and will chew on the egg holding side of the carton. Weirdo.
We have some adorable pets!
Miko noses us in the butt - like right in the crack- whenever he walks behind us and is feeling playful. Last night, DH and I were just wondering if he'll ever grow out of it... but we kind of hope he won't grow out of being so playful
One of my cats has an obsession with Q-Tips...she will take them out of the garbage and chew them (gross), carry them around the house, etc. If she even sees you with the box she comes running (and she's a big girl so she's not much of a runner)!
Another of my cats loves packing peanuts. If a box comes into the house with them, we have to take it out to the garbage right away, or this cat will start to eat them. She will eat through a cardboard box to get to them. She will also squirrel them away, and hide them for later. She loves popcorn too (the puffy ones only), so maybe it has to do with the texture? Or she's the one that we found emaciated and homeless, so maybe they fill her up.. who knows?
My other cat has just started going into our new bathtub and pawing in one corner. He does it really fast, over and over again. Like he's trying to dig himself a tunnel. I chase him away because I don't want him scratching it, but he goes back! Using the bathroom will never be relaxing again, because he always has to go in there with me.
My beagle loves to bury himself in blankets, so often we find him by sitting or stepping on him, because it looks like he's not in his chair or bed. He also rings a bell to go out to pee, because apparently barking is too difficult.
Love the weird pet stories... because really, most pets are probably crazy more often than they are "normal"
(I also have to give a nod to my cat that passes a couple years ago. He would always come running when he heard the toilet flush, and loved to watch the water go down the drain... it was ridiculously cute! I miss that, but I guess now I have my bathtub buddy... apparently).
my jack russells never eat straight from their bowls. they put some food in their mouth, go to opposites of the room, look behind them to make sure no one is following, drop it, and eat if off the floor. then they go back to their bowl for another mouthful and repeat. takes them forever to eat.
..sometimes they leave a trail of food as it falls out of their mouth...so funny!
