S hates bibs. If you put one on him he'll refuse to eat and through a fit until it's removed. Then he will happily eat.
I told daycare to just feed him and if the shirt is covered with food change him and if it's not that bed, I'll deal with it later.
But obviously I don't want them to have to deal with changing him a lot.
Does anyone have any other suggestions since he downright refuses to eat if he has a bib on? I'm thinking putting one of M's old shirts on him at meal time (over his clothes). Any other ideas?
Re: alternative to bibs
Evan is like this too although I don't remove the bib. He will just yank it off and throw it. I wish I had some advice but don't. Sorry. I can def. relate though!!!
ETA: May sound mean but I put the bibs on him with the snaps so he can't pull it off. If he's hungry enough he will eat. I am such a mean mother. LOL.

At home I either let him get his shirt dirty or I strip him for super messy foods. I tried the snaps for daycare but he went crazy and they can't handle feeding a ton of kids while one goes crazy. And he's a head banger/food tosser.

Oh we have one of those. I'll try it and see how he does.
Have you tried the bibs that are a dish towel/wash cloth that have a hole for a neck? They're handmade I think...we've gotten a few as gifts, and they're a little more comfortable than a bib.
ditto these. DS pulls his bibs off, too & I use these when he's wearing something I really don't want to get dirty. He can't rip it off & b/c they're longer than a regualr bib, it tucks down under the high chair tray & he kinda forgets he's wearing it b/c it looks more like his shirt.
