farms open this time of year for LO?

DS and I have off together today and he is really wanting to see "pigs and cows", I guess he didn't get his fill at the Stock show last week. Anyone know any farms or places that I can take him where he can get his fill?

thanks ladies!

  • If you feel like driving to FoCo, the Farm at Lee Martinez park is open year round and it's like $2.50 to get in.  Cows, horses & ponies, sheep, goats, pigs, geese, chickens, turkey, etc.

  • Maybe the Littleton Historical Museum?  I'm not sure it would have pigs and cows though.

I think they always have cows (as well as chickens).  We have gone there when they didn't have the pigs because they had taken them to market.  ::Cue the "This Little Piggy Went To Market" rhyme.::

But they have lots of cool stuff:  blacksmith demonstrations, horses, goats, farm equipment and old time buildings you can enter and explore... plus there's the indoor stuff and kids play area.  Excellent excursion, and free (although they welcome donations).
