Yesterday and today were torture Magic day ;)

In preparation for adopting another dog (and because it was due) Magic had a bath yesterday. He's not a big fan of baths but tolerates it. Then today, he had to get his shots and heartworm test. He is not a fan of the vets office and peed a couple times (why do I always get embarrassed when he does that?? lol) Then it was off to the groomers for his nails. I used to do them at home but I accidentally clipped too close to his quick once and he never let me do them again...he was long overdue. But, it's all done and over and now he's resting Smile Up next, scheduling him to get neutered...which I'm nervous about but I'm sure he'll be fine. He's crytochordic  and through research I had found that it would be kind of exploratory to find the one that is un descended but the vet said they should be able to get it with the original incision cause it's right here. Hopefully! And now, for some pictures Smile

I was trying to get a picture to show how big he is...he's next to my 4 year old...trying to get a piece of cheese Wink

ETA: When is the best time to put on the topical flea/heartworm stuff? He just had his bath yesterday so how long should I wait before putting it on?

Re: Yesterday and today were torture Magic day ;)

  • Haha - I love the last picture with the cheese - he is SO focused on that slice and is obviously trying to figure out what he can do to get it! :)

He looks very handsome in his bandanna!

Dakota also pees when she's scared/nervous/excited. Usually I'm fine with it but I am always embarrassed when it happens when my mom visits. I think most "pet people" understand.

  • Poor Magic.  That reminds me though... my beagle is probably long overdue for a nail clipping.  Thanks for the reminder!
