My lawn guys left the fence gate open and my dog got out...
I face out to the front yard from my desk. I am in a pretty sad/crying type mood today. I looked out, saw my dog on the front walk, panicked.
For no reason whatsoever. He just trotted his little furry butt right up the front walk, and barked at the front door. I let him in and he didn't even make eye contact. Just a little wag of the tail.
That made me smile...lol.
Re: My lawn guys left the fence gate open and my dog got out...
Oh wow. I'm so glad he didn't run off.
My foster is a little turkey and would climb our gate, that had wire covering everything except about a foot of the top, and squeeze out. He would always run to the front door and peek inside through the glass. Luckily we live out on acreage and a good 10 minutes from anything. We fixed his little red wagon as soon as DH got back home though!
Ack!! This!! When we had a lawn service this was my worst fear. I would come home from work and just cross my fingers that Ruby was still in the yard!
LOL that he just came to the front door! Good Freddy!
I would be livid. The same thing happened to a friend several weeks ago and it ended very badly.
Im glad your little guy knew not to run into the street. He sounds like a smart doggy

They have left it open before... you have to really TRY to close it and get the gate to latch. My problem is that I never seem to catch them when they're here. They comeon Fridays, but when it's off season they don't come every week... and there's no specific time.
Hopefully I can be here when they're here one of these days so I can tell them to make sure it closes!
