Poll: Do you still call your aunts and uncles "Aunt first name", etc?
Re: Poll: Do you still call your aunts and uncles "Aunt first name", etc?
it depends. i have one aunt that i refer to as my "favorite aunt mary anne" when we were little, she used to always introduce herself that way. i once asked her how she knew she was my favorite aunt, and she said, "well i'm your only aunt mary anne, so i have to be your favorite aunt mary anne".
it caught on...lol.
when i address most of them, i call them "auntie", and do not use their actual first name.

My aunts and uncles were young when I was born (most of my mom's 5 siblings were in their teens or younger). Maybe that's why we were never formal. The only "aunt" I have is my great Aunt. We do refer to them as aunt/uncle so and so to Tracey, so she uses aunt/uncle.
on rrr's side, everyone is aunt/uncle so and so. His aunts/uncles and us and sil/bil to my nephew and tracey.
